How to use the Crypto Payment Service?

The Salamantex Crypto Payment software can be used on all common devices (notebook, PC; tablet, mobile phone) via the internet browser. In stationary trade you can also use the software on our Salamantex Crypto Payment Terminal or on Ingenico terminals of the Tetra Telium series (models Move5000, Lane500, and Desk5000).

In addition, the service can also be easily integrated into your online shop via API or plug-ins. We are open to the possibility of programming or modifying individual software to integrate it into existing hardware systems. Different legislations regarding virtual currency services in the respective countries make individual assessments per country in which we want to offer our service inevitable for us. Currently, our service is available in the following countries:

If a customer wants to pay with a cryptocurrency,

  1. the merchant first enters the euro amount to be paid in the Salamantex Crypto Payment Service App. If the software is connected to a POS system, the euro amount is entered directly into the app.
  2. Now the merchant selects the desired cryptocurrency and confirms the current exchange rate determined by the software.
  3. The payment address is then generated and displayed to the customer as text and QR code.
  4. The customer scans the QR code with any mobile wallet to send his coins to the generated address.
  5. After a short time the receipt of payment is confirmed. The merchant can print one or more receipts for the customer and/or his own accounting department.
  6. As a merchant you will receive the Euro (€) purchase price minus service fee transferred to your account, optionally you can also keep the cryptocurrency.
What are AliPay and WeChat Pay?

Alipay is Alibaba's online payment service and with one billion users, the world’s largest platform in the payment and lifestyle sector.

WeChat Pay is one of the leading payment solutions in China and is used by around 900 million users every month, and the number is rising.

Together, WeChat Pay and AliPay are the most popular and widely used payment methods in China.

How does the payment process with Alipay and WeChat Pay work?
  1. Enter the amount in Euro + an optional tip value and press "Confirm".
  2. Select the payment option desired by the customer as used to. In this case, choose Ali- or WeChat Pay.
  3. The total amount is now displayed to the customer in Chinese yuan. When confirmed again, the camera then activates and the customer is prompted to scan a QR code on his mobile phone linked to his Chinese bank account, by holding it in front of the terminal’s camera. Please note that when using our system in the web browser (without terminal), a request to approve the camera access will appear. It must be accepted, as a camera is required for the payment process.
  4. If the QR code is not valid, the text box will turn red and a valid QR code must be scanned once again. If the QR code is successfully scanned, the payment is processed, and the purchase is complete. Optionally an invoice can be printed.


How can integrate AliPay or WeChat Pay into my business?

You can use AliPay and WeChat Pay through our software via web application with any browser-enabled device such as smartphone, tablet, laptop or PC or via our Salamantex POS terminal SX1801. This is a service we offer via Wirecard AG.
